Climate
The Payson area is known for its mild four-season climate. Payson is
at an altitude of 5,000 feet amidst the largest stand of Ponderosa Pine
trees in the world. Because of the pine trees, Payson boasts of one of
the 3 purest ozone layers in the World.
When you arrive in Payson, open up your car window and take a deep
breath. You’ll know you are breathing clean fresh Ponderosa pine air!
And because of Payson’s nighttime lighting regulations (very few street
lights throughout town), you will notice something else you have been
missing—stars as far as the eyes can see!
The beauty of Payson is it’s central location in the state. Payson is
65 miles from Fountain Hills, 90 miles from Prescott and Flagstaff- and
100 miles from Sedona. The big cities are close by but you feel miles
away from the rush and crowds.
Surrounded by National forest Payson’s growth rate will be limited
and with a population of about 17,000 people we have what you have been
looking for- small town life with enough modern amenities to make you
not miss the city!
